Ok so me and my friend Tim are really big into lasers and we're only 15 so we kinda don't know that much about electronics. Anyway, we're both wondering if you could create a 150mw blu-ray laser by replaceing the 5mw blu-ray diode in the housing with the 150mw diode, by re-soldering the positive and negative leads on the circuit board, the same way they're in for the 5mw diode. Any Suggestions?????

it is much better if you place a picture of your laser here so we can help more.. but if i am to suggest, well, for 70$ (if you are from US) you can even create more than 150mw...

Well if you are "big into lasers" then you know that driving a 5mW LD does not take as much current as a 150mw LD... Therefore what you want to do is not possible without some Electronic modifications.... My suggestion is that you do some research and read the info available to you as a member... You can even use the [Search] Button to look for what you want to know... BTW... welcome to the Forum... Jerry
