**EDIT** On the Spec page it lists 8X WRITE We need to look at this closer. I'll do some more research here. May be a good find

i think ive seen a BH08LS20(or maybe a WH08) on ebay for $170, check ebay sometimes you can get em cheap
EDIT: check newegg.com as well

Most of what I'm finding is from the UK and/or Oz-NZ

I wonder why (or if) it wasn't released in the US?

In any event. the next best price I've found was $144, but it is in NZ
