Attempting to build a ~1W 405nm laser

Hey guys!
I'm new to the forums and I am attempting to build my first laser (the obsession has started!).
My goal is to build a 1 Watt purple laser. Here are the parts I plan to get.

Diode (I plan to get the one on the bottom right and set it at 700ma) -

Host (Will this case be able to handle the heat put out by the diode?) -

Am I missing something here? I have 2x 16340 batterys laying around. I am wondering if this build would work.

If you like small hosts like that, I'd research the 501b, and get it from mrcrouse. A member here. It's around $20 and comes ready to go with two wires for you already. The host you linked to doesn't offer great heatsinking, or the leads pre-wired. Just message mrcrouse and see about that host. You will have a much better host capable of handling the heat. And I think you will need 18650 cell. It's a boost driver so only 1 battery

Look in the buy sell trade section too. Mrcrouse has a thread selling those 501b hosts.

I'm looking for a waterproof host. Is there any waterproof hosts that have a bigger heatsink/better cooling?
