hi all, just got these two sleds,Pioneer 8X Blu-Ray-- BDR-203 and BDR-S03
before i extract the diodes can anyone tell me the pin outs, are they the same as phr803t? has anybody experiance of both these models?

also, ive come up with a really simple way of making a ttl driver using just 1 lm317 , and 2 extra components....

The pin configurations for all blu-ray diodes currently known are the same as the PHR-803T. The BDR-203 burner is much more powerful than the PHR-803T and can be driven at higher current, though they're not as widely used because of price. Things you should look into are:

AR coated lenses for 405nM (JayRob's 405-G-1 lens mod)
Dave's 512mW BDR-203BKS
FrankoRob's graph of the 8X diodes so far

The scanners look really impressive, I'm guessing they're DIY?

thanks for that prompt help!!

as for lenses, ive ordered the o-like, axiz and 405g1 (from will at laser66.com)
dunno if jayrob gets the same lenses from will....?
whats this other one mentioned from luke, i think was the name

yes the systems are all diy, i sell and hire them here in uk
blue range lasers is my company name

ps i have nearly every type of blu-ray diode from the ps3, dt8011, phr803t, bd323, lg 4x, lg 6x, sfaw210, and now the two pioneer 8x diodes, and i have a laser bee, so maybe i can help with that all in one comparison thats been suggested by the guy with the tourch helmet ....

Yep... same optical lens from Will...

I modify an AixiZ glass lens nut to fit the 405-G-1 glass lens so that it is positioned perfectly for good focusing with an AixiZ module with the AixiZ finger grip focus ring installed on the lens nut.

See here:
FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod-28% Increase vs AixiZ!!

Thats some good sled information... any chance that you've found a supplier? Is this sled layout the same for 6xs as well?

I got in the BDR-S03 sleds and they either aren't actually BDR-S03 or that type of sled is crap... the blu ray's only measured around 140mW. Probably a 4x sled or something, all the information on the BDR-S03 showed it to be 8x though.... ( Pioneer Blu-ray Burner, 8x BD-R, BDR-S03-OEM )

I'm working to either to an exchange for the sleds with my supplier or I'll sell them all at way below cost... take a huge loss :(

They must have not sent the correct sleds... Or the information is not correct on the driver specs.

Bummer...

do you have a photo of the sled? Maybe we can compare it to one that came from a 202 Drive?
