He sounds a lot like Arenared, especially where he says Dark is his friend. I seem to remember Arenared saying that in the past. Maybe he's mad that he keeps on getting banned. It also explains his rant in the Kryton GB thread, because Arenared has two 8x's in ehgemus hosts and thinks that they have the best heatsinking around

It doesn't matter. There were only a total of 13 people that contributed. They all would ignore this "member."

Besides, he is going to have to stop soon to wipe up the spittle from his keyboard anyway.

Yes, that's exactly how it's gonna be done!

The diode will be running 12h per day, in 1min cycles...

I'll be measuring the power every so often, but can't do so while the diode is on the counter, as it would influence the counter, if i put the meter in between (the counter would interpret it as another cycle)..


I'll try to document the testing setup as best i can, maybe make a video of the cycler in action, but it'll be boring. The diode will turn ON. Stay ON for a minute. Turn OFF. Stay OFF for a minute.

It's as exciting as! Umm, wait, no, it's not... That's why i have a circuit to do it for me! So i can go away, and just let it run... :angel:



In any case, the new upgraded cycler is ready and waiting...
Ready for murder... :evil:

I did test way over a hundred diodes, but they were all my own...

Nope, no one has ever given me a diode for free. All the diodes i killed until now were the ones i bought or traded for MYSELF!

This is the FIRST TIME others are pitching in, so i can do the research on 8x's. Why? Cos i can't afford it myself, after wasting thousands of dollars of my own money on diode and lens experiments.

The two diodes soon to be murdered here, belong to the forum, and so does the knowledge we will get from them!


If Igor wanted to do this out of his own research and interest , he wouldnt want one to keep.

Where did i say i wanted one to KEEP?!?!? I said it 10 times to Daguin that he should EDIT his first post so it doesn't seem as if i want to KEEP one of the two!!! I'm buying my own out of my own money! That's the one i'm gonna keep! Not one of the ones bought by the forum, for gawd's sake!

Whoever it was, they clearly DID NOT read what i said here... The confusion with the first post was that Daguin proposed for me to keep one 8x diode, which was NOT what i wanted! It was a misunderstanding!



Daguin already sent me one LG 8x diode (for his laser), and two more (from this fund) are on their way....

On top of that, i am buying several for myself and other people, to increase the test-pool, and select the TWO lowest efficiency diodes from it, for the murder experiment!

It would seem there was A LOT of editing and post deleting done, while i was away for the weekend! :thinking:

What was going on here, guys?!?


If someone is worried about my intentions towards the diodes, i'll return the two murder candidates to Daguin for inspection, after they are dead, if that makes anyone feel better? (in their original test environment, with everything still attached - entire lasers, with heatsink/module and driver)
