Yes. I understand (so does my wallet).
The point was that the experiment will ultimately be successful.
Once the experiment is successful, after all of the needed diodes have been killed, we usually have at least one working laser.
The message was that AFTER we kill some AND we establish the survivable range of current, THEN we have a laser or two to sell.

what the heck, guys! i hinted in some other thread to perhaps do some fund-raising, I have a look again at LPF a day later, and its all done already with hundreds of dollars donated? deadline (lol) reached, all finished? I feel left out!

I was to donate too, but too late, it seems..
other idea: to get better prices on the 8x drives, we need to buy more. to have better results, we need to choose the victims from more candidates. so buying more drives would help.
i would send you money to buy an extra 8x drive, you choose which model. you then plot them all, and send me whichever diode you choose later.
I would eventually buy an 8x anyway, later when prices drop or sleds show up. but if this helps now, i'll gladly help now!
how about a 8x groupbuy now? of course it would make sense to only send the sleds or extracted diodes to igor..

LOL Angela Lansbury was an actress who played an author/detective on a long-running TV show called "Murder She Wrote". (ergo the attached image) It was on TV for a decade and was a favourite of my mom's. Probably Dave's too...

Its set up that way so you cant re-rep the same person in a short amount of time, good or bad.

hell yea! uh.. how much you want? where to send? not too late is it? before you test the other diodes?
cause i sure as hell would love to add a diode to the pool for testing...
the more the better! and the weakest link *cough* two links.... BUH BYE!
so 2 lowest of SIX.. instead of FIVE...
what would suck is if a 7th diode came in the future.. and that sucker turned out to be a freak... i could've gotten one of those. psh. lol.
