Thanks for the tip. I looked into li-ion for lasers that I have finished, and planned. The size and power density was close enough that it did not matter much. And for me weight has no bearing. This laser only pulls about 350mA when the servos moving. So it comes to cost. The NiMH is about 1/4 the cost of the Lithium. And I don't know if I trust myself to build a li-ion charger.
