6x Bluray diodes,Where should I buy

I have recently been reading some older threads about 6x diodes in GGW vs SF. There seems to be some consensus that GGW is better than SF but not a huge amount.

Modwerx right now is offering 6x SF diodes for only 16$

Yet Hightechdealz is offering them for 40$ in sled and 46$ out of sled

So is the GGW really worth the giant price hike or should i stick with the modwerx 16$ for my first bluray build? :thinking:

Im leaning toward the 16$ diode because i wont feel as bad if i destroy it.:undecided:

The GGW sled contains 6x BR diode, LCC red diode and an IR diode and some optics. That's why it is more expensive than a bare 6x diode.
You might read this thread if you not already done. scopeguy20 sells the GGW sled for 30. I just bought one from him.

I have two SFAW210 diodes. For the price they can't be beat... but the GGW diodes are a little more robust.
To be honest, the output difference your eye sees between the two diodes will be nearly negligable.
The real advantage of the GGW is that at a similar current it would likely last much longer than an AW210.

Personally, I just don't see the advantage when you consider the huge price increase.
I can drive a AW210 safely @ 175mW till the cows come home... why pay 3X more for 200mW?

PHR diodes are definitely not 6x Bluray diodes as they run about 100mw less than 6x diodes
