They're speaking about get an 8x driver, exchange the diode with a PHR, then carry back the driver to the store saying "it don't work" ..... other than disonest, it's a thing that here can't work ..... :p

Here, if you buy a thing that don't work, you have the right to have it changed in warranty, but ONLY AFTER they checked the one you carry back ..... :D (or you think i can change a BR burner in my shop, just if someone say "it don't work" ? ..... i take it, send it back to the producer, and if the producer send me back one in warranty, i change it, otherwise not :p)

Anyway, my problem is the opposite - that these things DO have warranty.. And too much of it.

Otherwise i'd already get my hands on many a broken Blu Ray writer most likelly...


I used to get the best reds from out-of-warranty DVD writers from a large computer company. They used to throw them away! Unfortunatelly no such incidents with BluRays yet, but i'll keep asking...

^ LOL, me too, about collecting diodes ..... i dismantled so much old readers and burners, from old units i changed in my shop (a little computer shop) ..... uhm, how can i give you an idea ? ..... let me see ..... we're here mainly for the fun, so, let me say it in a funny way.

I dismantled so much readers and burners (still not yet a BR, too), that now i have around enough motors for build at least a 3-motors spyro ..... ok, ok, maybe also two of them :p

BTW, "here" is Italy, as i'm Italian ;)

I don't know how all of this made into a thread that was made for the test results of a diode I extracted. But if you guys want to continue try, "make new thread".

it's not bashing! I am not calling you anything. you say where are the cold hard facts... but you openly admitted to doing it once, when all i was saying is that I have seen multiple posts by YOU "making a joke" about it. I did not even know you really did it till this thread! so the proof is in the pudding. now stop acting like a victim. also Have i ever asked you to sell to me? i could care less. I have a pretty good relationship with a few members here. i even meet them!
