I'm considering in getting this diode for my laser I'm building.

405nm 300mW blu-ray laser diode 6x blu-ray diode sled | eBay

Do you think it will really putout 300mW at 320mA ? Has anyone tried one of these diodes ? Also whats a good way to find/test the mW power of this laser when its done. B/c I don't really have the money to buy a laser power meter. :(

Thank you

It does not list the part number. So I would doubt it would live long at 300mw I would guess it would be better for about 200mw.

Get a part number from the seller I could be wrong.

I have that diode in my laser, i dont have a power metre to test it but havent had any problems with it. If you get the part number let me know please.

Cheers

If that's a GGW 6x I would not take it past 180mA... with an efficient diode and G1 lens 300mW would still be a stretch, however that still a good diode for the money it has a nice violet hue and you also get a 16x 650nm diode in the sled.

just ordered this same sled. Hoping to get a long life out of it. Probably going to run it @ 150-200mA. Has yours arrived yet?

pretty sure after a lot of research it's the sf-aw diode. After all the discussion about these diodes being unpredictable i've decided when mine arrives i'm going to run it at 120mA and log the run times. maybe somebody with an lpm will take it off my hands for a bit to do some testing? i've burned out a lot of diodes and just want a laser that will stand the test of time.

@320mA.Seller say yes it operate @ 320mA.Can anyone confirm that this diode work
@320mA.Because I do not want burn this diode.
