405/445 Driver with 405nm Diode? HELP PLEASE!

I am using a 1W 445nm/405nm blue laser diode driver
from Aixiz..
(1W 445nm blue laser diode driver / 405nm laser driver, AixiZ)

With a 405nm PHR805T Blu Ray Laser Diode in Aixiz Module.
(HighTechDealZ - 405nm PHR805T Blu Ray Laser Diode in Aixiz Module)

I get a small beam. Not strong at all. I have the driver attached to 3 D batteries putting out 4.7 Volts.
Why is the laser not putting out hardly any beam? Am I doing something wrong?
The very first time it was on it worked beautifully. The second time I touched the wires and it just made the laser weak.
Please help..

Thank you.

Sounds like you may have killed the diode. I'm not an expert, but think the 1W driver might be way too much power for the PHR 805T? I wouldn't push an 805T much over 120mW.

I think that driver is better suited for the M140 445nm. The current is not adjustable, is it?

Aw man, that sucks.
Would you be able to link me some cheap parts that will work together?

I would like a one watt. I dont care what color.

Thank you so much.

You have much to learn.

This forum hates noobs who come here without doing any research and demanding to be spoon fed on how to make a burning laser.

IMHO, you should go on survivallaser.com and grab one of their 445nm 1w kits. Its better than asking for people to build you a list of parts and you can learn from there. Once you have the laser you can then spend time reading the forums and learning how to do it yourself.
