Oh yeah you can totally see it's blue because of that blue MSPaint line they put right there coming out of the laser's head!!

yeah creates a good impression for first visitors xD.

If it is a blue-violet beam, its really worth the money though.

Going by the wavelength mess ups that they are notorious for I can pretty safely say that this laser is a 405nm. The most important part is the picture, then title, then specs. That is how I have come to trust their system.

I have gone ahead and ordered this laser. I don't mind taking one for the team. I will post results when it arrives. My readings won't be the most accurate as my meter is bad at 405nm readings. Is there anyone who lives in the bay area who would want to get together for a laser testing/showing off session? preferably someone with a thermopile laser meter.

Hey yobresal...

just curious to what model of LPM are you using...:)

I use a pocket laser meter that is manufactured by Coherent.
Live help is useless. They really don't get anything done.
I am certain this laser is a violet one. It has shipped, should be here next week sometime. I'll keep you posted.

I hope that it is above 200mW. I really don't need anymore below that power.
The question I have about this laser is "does it have an adjustable focus?" I am inclined to believe that it does based on the fact that the manufatured provides the statement that it can light matches. This is not easy for a 200mW violet laser unless the focus is adjustable. I say there is a 75% chance that it has an adjustable focus. But again I will let you all know about it when it arrives.

i dont wanna burn away your hopes....but for this price, and to know those suppliers of lasers on focalprice, dealextreme and ebay, i dont think you're gonna get a laser of 200mw plus.

Yeah you are probably right. Only time will tell. Hopefully it is nothing like he 200mW green from Kaidomain for a similar price. It turned out to be 75mW. Nice casing though and adjustable focus so not a terrible deal in the end. Just way below advertised output.

i think a true 200mW blu-ray would light a match focuse to infinity just fine wouldnt it? someone chime in on that.

Well, at any rate $82 for 100mW of focusable blu-ray isn't THAT bad, especially for those who lack the patience/resources/skills to build one...

Hey Yob - thinkin about messing with the power on that one, aren't ya?!? :)
