LOL 1W of 405 is not yet achiveable unless in some crazy freak diode circumstances.

OK :) I am not into 405nm, so not sure whats achievable or not. Thanks for clarifying the impossibility.

Wonder what one of those measures!

1W could be achieveable with double diode, but not for this price...

That would involve colamination/calibration for a good result though, wouldn't it?

Damn, I thought you were being sarcastic!! This is simple laser basics bro. You've obviously been into lasers, and this forum. Why in the world would you believe this? A quick scan on 405nm lasers would show there is no way you'd be able to buy this for $113 even it was real.

A not so long time ago, one would laugh at a 1W blue laser diode for $45. Maybe the 405nm had come into a new era aswell...

This being said I did not expect 1W output. But always nice to have a discussion around it.

Most reviews of DX lasers which bases on direct diodes tend to be quite up to spec as far as what I've read /experienced. However I admit not having experience with high powered 405nm's from DX at any point.

Yep. I said it would cost more... and not only due to more materials but due to more time spent building, too.

Why don't you buy that Laser and do a detailed Review
on it for the rest of us...:)

I'd be curious as to how much power that 1Watt 405nm
Laser outputs in your tests..

I would, but saving towards something right now. And not that fond of the 405nm wavelength. Trying to keep em above 470nm ;)

For a "445", that's one kick-ass dot

Hemlock_Mike once ran a 12X at 1W+ accidentally. It was able to survive the several seconds until he turned the power down.

If this is really 405nm, don't expect a long life.
