Wish HP actually put the specs up. The »Data sheets / Documents link that goes nowhere is nice too.
If it was really 16x BD-R a big press release would be issued & talk on tech sites about it being the new champ. I didn't find anything.

Its a phishing scam. They are hush about the stats, and when you find them, they a misleading. They are looking for people who have not done their homework, and the people who still have old computers.

Its really a 2X Blu-Ray burner.

Nice find, Dr_Evil, although it ended up being "fake".

Oh and nice research TJ, +1 :gj:

EDIT: oh, and why could you call this a phishing scam?

peace & thanks

Thanks for finding all the burning and reading speeds. I thought for the price it might have been real. It seemed to good to be true though.

that's not what phishing is... phishing is when fake websites are made that mimic other websites (e.g. a fake PayPal that looks just like the real one) and tricks users into logging in, so that the fake website's creators can steal the information for their own (malicious) intent.

details, details... lol who really gives two furry little rat shits about this

peace & thanks

Phishing doesn't have to be a website mimicing another. Just think of all those phishing scam e-mails.
