1W OF 405?! YAY! Now I can't decide if I should rip my new one apart, or put it in my computer. :undecided: I think I like blu ray too much to give it up.

No need to quote my whole post as it may make a lot of peoples computers load very slowly. Please edit.;)

Please edit your post so the pictures aren't in the quote. No need to scrolls through 3-4 pages of pictures for one line of text ;)

Also, were these with or without a 405 G1/G2 lens?

EDIT: DTR is freaky fast O.O

it hit 1009mw :D :D :D :D and at 720mw. I think thats good :)
it dimmed at 750mA so thats likely its max. but at least it hit 1W :)

I may have bumped the heatsink moving the beam slightly off the pad but my first reaction was to shut it down. Not check to see if that is what I did.

I'm thinking we can safely pull 850-900mW from these without much issue. I hope that this just wasn't an over-efficient diode. These are great results! Thanks for the tests!!

Dont kill it no point.

This is a BDR-S06J 12x diode That is Somewhat efficent.!

However could there be A 12x version with a different diode and a14x with a different diode. I Dough it aftre those numbers.

I have 3 1W 405nm laser that range from 958mW-1040mW.

2 of the 3 1W 405nm laser are doing 1W at ~660mA and the 1040mW one is at 650mW.

Iam Guessing here but its the same diode. Those numbers seem to be Exactly the same as just about all S06J that i have set.

Dont Kill it if you dont have too.:(

I would not kill it unless you are try to beat the record power.:na: j/k..

The BDR-S06J should not be driven higher then 500mA for safe long life.

Ok well il wait and see :pop: Lazeerer also pointed out that it may be the same diode :( Maybe the 12x sleds will drop in price then :D

^ NO it doesn't. This is the same performance of a 12x diode.

To bad i was looking forward to more power.

I am thinking along the same lines as lazeerer. The power output seems to correlate with that of the S06J just went higher than I would recommend taking one.

I have also hit 1W while torturing a S06J.;)

This strikes me as a normal 12x.

I have had two BW512Ls that could hit 1W at around 650mA..
