Well, I am tempted to get the new diode you tested!
I'm really interested in them.
Please PM the details. Would
Like one in a copper module!

@ lazeerer
I still have some money with you for the 2x 638nm group buys. Would that come close to buying me something in the SO6J performance range?

Any other interesting diodes on the horizon?

Well it looks like the 14x burners are out, I have found manny sites selling them for around the same price. (Newegg, Amazon, ect) And they are all about $135 after shipping. Now all we got to do is wait and see who the first one will be to buy one and tear it apart! (I am hoping for 1W of 405.)

That's what we are talking about.
Read the beginning of thread.
14x drives are using a next generation (BDXL capable) BD-R diode. Can burn 4 layers (+125GB) as apposed to 2 layers (50GB).
We don't know if they can handle over 500mA of current just yet... testing will tell if they are the same as the previous generation.
