I don´t know enough about this 12x br diodes but is this setting possible?

I didn't think the flexdrive was up to it. I know the Rkcstr can't do it. I don't think Arenared was building his own drivers. I don't know if anyone else built one for him.

Peace,
dave

Just reporting back after comparing yobresal's Pocket Mini Chrome 12X...

It is set at 604mA's, and I measured it at 824mW's! (405-G-1) Wow...

In the dark, side by side with my 480mW's 12X build, it is noticeably brighter. (jealous)

Can't believe so much power from a Pocket Mini! Don't know how long it will last at 604mA's though.

Keep us posted on that yobresal... And thanks for letting me check it out!

I'm glad you got to check it out. Also looking forward to any pictures you may or may not have taken of the two beams together.

Didn't take any pictures, but it sure ate up that flash paper that you sent!

Man I didn't want to run it much, because I don't want to be the one using it if it were to up and die...

I only ran it for 4 or 5 times. All less than 20 seconds...

Awesome laser man...

I love that flash paper. So much fun. I understand your concern. If I were in your shoes I would feel the same way. If anything did happen though I wouldn't hold you accountable. I was just thinking about it...that thing has your fingerprints all over it. The specially built lense, the custom machined heatsink....and now your actual finger prints on the shiny host...LOL

Ha ha! Well I might as well keep it then... (jk)

Actually, didn't you send me the host in the first place when I made the kit? I think you did, because I had to drill out the pill and make the heatsink...

I have sold a few of the chrome kits, and I try to stock a couple now too...

I wouldn't be surprised if this kit becomes more popular than the pocket mini. It is so darn good looking.

The only thing you could have done better with it for a 12X build, was to get the copper heatsink...

That said, the aluminum still works just fine...

I've got one to add.

Host: Jayrob's slim 18650
Diode source: I'm guessing the BDR-205. I bought one of the three diodes yobresal had.
Current: 350mA
Output: 430mW
Lens: 405-G-1
Driver: ??? I would assume V5 Flex since it came with the host.

Yep, the 18650 'Hot' option kit you got from me has the V5 FlexDrive...

Glad your build worked out! :gj:

Got my BDR-205 taken apart and half-way in the Aixiz, I forgot my diode press at school though, so I haven't even powered it up yet.

God I hope it works, my hands were shaking like crazy trying to get the heatsink off that $200 diode. ::praying::

No guessing about it my friend. I can confirm that the diode you received I personally pulled from a BDR-205 sled as extracted from the pioneer 12X blu-ray burner.
