Well this is Post 1000!
I am sure I hold the record on the SLOWEST time to reach 1000 posts. But that just means I have a longer attention span than most.

Since I don't remember a welcome section when I joined the forum, consider this my intro

After 7+ years, I own more lasers than I ever thought I would, spent more money than I planned and I'm always trying to find room for more of them in our little place. But I still love them. As a result of this forum and lasers, I've also gotten into Nixies, Dekatrons and Geissler tubes.

It helps that my wife loves them, which is a big plus. She especially loves the Multiline argons and going to shows like SELEM.

Thanks to lots of people on here for the help and answers to questions, but mostly thanks to the wonderful Search button :crackup:
If you want to learn about lasers this is the place to be.

Congrats! You're like the exact opposite of USAbro (Both posts and rep haha). He managed to get 1300 or so posts in like 4 months.

Yeah man, do you remember when he advised a newbie to use thermal isolator for heatsinking his diode? (That's why I asked about your driver in the other thread) Not to mention what he did with his m140 diode:crackup:

Edit: I see you are pretty fast when it comes to post count too but otherwise USAbro I appreciate your work.

Haha yeah he did some crazy stuff, glad he's gone though.

I post quite frequently indeed. Mainly because there's not too much to do here and I don't work at the moment. Currently trying to sell my gaming PC because I barely ever play games anymore.

Even I'm starting to feel "old" here because I remember when the 9mm diodes made their first controversial appearance;)
You must have much more and better stories than that though.

I must of missed out on this guy. I keep seeing the name mentioned but have no memory of him.

Looks like you are about the only one with potential to beat this. But your average per day is SLIGHTLY higher than mine :)

I'm about one every two days. At that rate you'd still be within about a year from now.

You'll get there :)
