a "re-welcome".

Not an original welcome (obviously)... Been gone (again) for too long. Many folks here probably don't remember me, so I'm lurking for now and taking in all the changes that have happened in the laser world.

Was going through my LiIon batteries and reconditioning them today; got to testing my lasers, and realized it was just about this time of year back in 2009 (Yesterday in 2009, in fact) that I happened upon LPF and joined.

Well, thousands of hours, posts, (and dollars...) later I was committed. But life throws ya curveballs and I got derailed a few times here, and a few false starts in coming back.

Going through the laser collection today I really felt I had to get back into checking things out regularly again.

Good to see some familiar faces still active (Hak!) - and good to see everything is going healthy

I'll be reading and searching and watching for a while here to catch up on what's been going on, but if anyone wants to PM me with any summaries of the 'big events', i'd appreciate it! (But not required of course, I'll do my homework!)

Anyhow, good to see everyone, old and new again.

Welcome back, guy who's collection ridiculously large collection there are not nearly enough pictures of. (Hint )

There have been a few minor changes, but nothing too major. A couple of people who used to post a lot are no longer here for various reasons.

The forum is also a lot nicer, and more drama free.

Depending on when you left, you may need to contact c0ld to let you into the Vet's section... it's no longer password protected.

Nicer and less drama is always good. I remember things did get heated back in the day!

Good to see that you're still kickin, Infinitus, and just saw that Dave is still active, good to see that too!

And, hey, was always more of a wavelength junkie but can't say that expanding in amplitude is something i'd shy away from. And definitely following that thread, I want to see what comes of it!
Also, yes - we actually had some really good 'laser fog weather' here a few days ago and that's what got me thinking, too. May lead to more mountainside beamshots!
