quick question

I just got a 30mW kaleidoscope laser pointer from budgetgagets.com

I JUST got the thing. I took off the tip and sadly dropped it. Square pattern piece inside that makes do the designs went flying, and i haven't been able to find it.

Now it just does dots instead of changing patterns. Is there anything I can do to fix it or am i stuck with just a pointer? :/

Those star tips work by having two diffraction gratings one turning against the other.
That's what makes the pattern change. Now you're one grating short apparently.
And you're stuck with only the fixed dots until you find that other grating.
