We need more info about what you are wanting to know or do with the laser. The way your question is phrased, it would take a dissertation to answer. Asking specific questions will get you information MUCH faster

Start by reading the stuff in the link below (in my signature)

Peace,
dave

If you need a person, go to a school and study.

This forum has much more info in it than you will probably ever need.

However, just trying to "order up" a mentor rarely works.

Begin by reading all of the stuff in the link below. Then read the "stickys" at the top of the main boards. Then will you be able to ask a question that can be answered.

ALL of what you want to know is already posted here in the forum. You do not need a person to re-type it all again just for you. You just need to read what is already here.

Peace,
dave

Ok.
So. There are no schools in Portugal?

If you are too lazy to find the information yourself, too bad. Most people do not like to spoon-feed n00bs.
Have you heard of Google? Google is a great place to find answers to questions.
Google-> "what is a diode" Wiki
And just to help you a bit "nm" means "Nanometers"... Definition: nanometer: a metric unit of length equal to one billionth of a meter.
Hope this helps!

And, oh yeah...
to the forums.

Welcome to the forum.

In order to pop balloons, melt plastic, etc; fast, you will need at least 100mW of 532nm=GREEN
200mW would be much better.
It depends on how much money you have to spare.
Buy the highest power you can afford.
For a true burning 532nm, you are going to have to spend at least $80 US
Don't be fooled by the claims of other sellers IE: eBay, DealExtreme, FocalPrice
Most of their mW output claims are false.
Stick to Rayfoss or O-like, or if you have plenty of money, go with CNI.
As with everything else in life, the more you spend, the better of a product you get.

No. I think it's a typo. it probalby means -20C to +30C.
I have the 100mW FLX (Green) and I live in southern California. It even works in 90 degree Fahrenheit (~32C) weather perfectly fine.
