Hi guys, just entering the hobby a bit. I am yet another transfer from the astronomy end. I bought an 8" Dob telescope for me and my daughter a few months ago. She just turned 6 and I was trying to get her interested in learning before she gets corrupted by the "learning isn't cool" kids from school 
Well I ended up looking for a laser for star pointing since it was difficult to explain what I was pointing at to a 6 year old. In turn, while doing research when shopping for a 532nm laser for star pointing...I became interested in other lasers...which leads me here...
So Hello LPF, look forward to learning from you guys. Already purchased a couple LPMed ebay 532s in the 50-100mW range. I also purchased a 1.1W Lazerer 445...and 2 pairs of safety glasses. :beer:
