Default New guy from BC, Canada

Names Joey currently living in Canada as a high-school seinor. Im a obsesive electronics fan and in my class as my final year project i was thinking about building a laser so with alot of research i finaly end up here, which is the best place to end up. However building a DIY high powered laser is seemingly harder than i assumed. Currently im waiting on my LD and Safety Goggles. But i have one question and was wondering if this is the appropriate Thread to post the question in, If this isnt moving it will be fine. Im planning on building a Red Lab Laser using a 650nm 20x DVD Burner LPC815 Laser in Aixiz Module. Im gonna try to run it at maximum power (i am planning on heat-sinking) But here are my problems im planning on building a driver from scratch, using the school board material which name escapes me (The kind you drill and give a acid bath) But i cant find anyone who has a drawing to burn onto the board, and Im struggling on finding what type of resistor to use im thinking either the 10 ohm or 5 ohm. Can someone help me find the best set-up for building this labby? Any help would be appreciated Forgot to mention im planning on running this off my variable power supply 0V-15V

I don't think I've mentioned it on here before, people who I've bought from or shipped too would know though
