Default New guy

Morning, folks!

A buddy of mine just got me into optics. More specifically, he got me into LED lighting and high intensity lasers for real world applications. Now, I'm an EE that's been out of the loop for a while. The stuff really peaks my interest and would really love to learn to design my own driver circuits and have my buddy make the housing since he's an ME and is extremely skilled in making just about any kind of part for any kind of application. I was wondering if any of you knew of any books or sources online (other than this forum, of course. I ran a search prior to posting this and didn't really see anything that could help) where I can learn some more about LED diodes and learn about what they require as far as driver circuits are concerned? Any and all input is appreciated
