I got barred from the LC forums for some unknown reason. At one stage I was working with a forum regular on a laser XY scanner, then got inundated in work and could not proceed.

I finally found some time, pulled the circuits boards out of the cupboard, wondered where I had left it and logged on. Banned. So now here I am. I have emailed said admin regarding this and hope to be back there otherwise LPF gets all my work. I personally own a red keychain pointer, a 15mw ebayser special greenie cranked to 30mw, and a 650mw green labby (the laser show guts).

Presently working on a self contained X/Y scanner working from a LCDX microcontroller by some mob I forgot the name of (but US based and easy to source).

Has its own LCD display, easy to calibrate, and can control your lasers power simply by pressing buttons on the keypad. Anyhoo this is my big hello, and hopefully it wont be a farewall to LC, but regardless I'm here to stay.

Interesting project, what are you using for galvos? (or are you trying with steppers?) Who were you working with on LC? I'm guessing Boomdog or Gottaluvlasers. If you still need, I can PM your their contact info. Good luck!

I was tossing ideas around with boomdog. Am using steppers - will move to galvo's when I want a real setup (aka computer driven)
