This is me

I'm new to the forums as of a few days ago. I never really realized there were so many people as obsessed with lasers as I am!

Here's just a little about me: my name is Bryson and I'm 18 years old. I just got accepted Dec. 15 to Amherst College in Massachusetts and I'm more than stoked to be going there!!... Just hoping the financial aid pulls though...

I haven't been interested in lasers for too long (only a year or two). I got interested when I decided I wanted a green laser so I bought a 5mW laser just for the hell of it. Ever since then I've been obsessed with them. I've even started a small laser business that I run mostly on eBay. I sell high quality 5mW green pointers for (right now) $11.79, which is from my knowledge a good price with shipping from the US.

I'm also into iPod/iPhone App development and my "business" (Revoc Technologies) released our first app a week ago (it's a game called Diaballic).

I swim. I surf. I'm from California. That's me in a nutshell!

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you have already had some dealings with lasers, but I guarantee you there will be enough new stuff for you to read and learn here to keep you busy for weeks just catching up on the basics!

You will be able to find most of it in the Stickies or by using the Search function (PM me if you need advice on how to search effectively here, it can be a bit difficult), but if you should ever have a question which you cannot find an answer to, there are a huge amount of knowledgeable and kind members who are willing to help you out.

Thanks! And yeah I can tell that there's a ton of information here and that the people are all really helpful. It's a cool site and I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of navigating around!
