Hi all, I'm new to this forum, and I found it while searching the internet for information on laser projectors. The reason I joined is because I am working on a project for graduate school and my group is trying to find a projector that uses rgb direct diode sources. In particular, we are interested in the use of the new high power green diodes (1w+) in these projectors. I've tried to contact some suppliers of projectors, but as suspected, they are unwilling to talk to me about what is inside. Is there anyone on here who knows information about projectors that have green diodes inside?

Thanks

I saw a blue diode or at least I think it's a blue diode on ebay for like 35 dollars and it was like 1 watt. I selected free shipping too for it on ebay so yeah it was like 35$ It could also be up to 45$ also it's just a diode and lens

How is this relevant?

Thank you for your response; however, we are not interested in blue diodes. We are trying to modify a laser projector to answer a specific research question (that's all I'm allowed to say). We specifically need one that utilizes 1w+ green laser diodes as all or part of the light source.

One option we were considering is buying an older projector that uses some kind of frequency-doubling scheme for the green, and installing the green diodes ourselves. Because these diodes are still relatively new, they are very expensive (~$400) by themselves, and we would prefer to have them integrated already.

So to further elaborate on my question, I am looking for any information about newer projectors that might have high power green diodes inside OR any source these green diodes (1w+) that is cheaper than ~$400.

projectors with the diode already integrated would probably cost more than modifying it yourself, but you can buy them from DTR here: 1W 520nm diode
Cheaper than $400
Not cheaper than ~$400
