Just arrived from Austin TX

I recently became interested in lasers, although Ive had a few laying around forever. I need a new hobby since moving from California two years ago Ive found Texas to be less friendly to my old love of hydroponics systems. I ride my motorbike, read science fiction (I particularly like Heinlein and Gibson), and enjoy growing cactus, but i still need to do some thing with my hands indoor so perhaps this will fill a gap. It fits right in with my interest in Techno-distopian futurescapes such as Blade runner, Johny Mnemonic, and Akira.

I live in Austin Tx and manage inventory for a growing landscape supply and recycling outfit of 50 employees with two quarries two brush recycling yards and two retail outlets.
