Hello, to all Lpf members! My names David I'm 21 years old I have a 2 year old daughter named Ameliya. Me and my family just bought our first house :) well I work for a sub shop (yea I make sandwhiches for a living lol) anyways I love my job because I get to go to more then 3/4 of the concerts in Florida .. for FREE! (I'm a vendor there...) anyways some drunk guy walked by my stand and he was shining a laser on the ground.. I was like "damn that's bright" he's like watch this and shined it to the back of the venue... needless to say i was very impressed it went that far! (Only laser I ever had before could only go a few yards... like the one you buy to mess with your cats... hahahaha) anyways I was like wow that's sweet and he said he gets them for free from his work sometimes.. so I asked how much for it and I paid $10 for what I thought was the coolest thing ever lol... and that's how I came into lasers... and then while searching what kind of laser it is (there's no identifiy marks) I stumbled upon Lpf.... now I can't stop wiping the drool from my chin... haha well that's me and I will be posting another thread asking for help on what type of laser I have and how strong it is.. also some recommendations on a next purchase...

P.s. I have read pretty much every guide

Welcome to the forum! Be sure to read all the stickies in each section :) I also would be careful of IR leaking from your laser...

Welcome, another Floridian bitten by the laserbug. I hope you don't like money... :P

Welcome to the forum,'you won't look at lasers like you did before once you start wondering arround the million threads that are here.
Lasers have just one big defect, they are addicting.

I've read damn near all the threads lol I can't stand to be the.new guy... so I like to do my research before I wander in something new... lol I'm sure u all can appreciate this... haha

Very much indeed...

Welcome! By reading all the threads here you should know by now that you need some good safety glasses for your new laser. There is also no accurate way of telling how powerful your laser is without using a LPM. There are many things that can affect how bright it looks.

Hope you enjoy it here

Bout time u got here lazerbeak... where were u sleeping? Haha jk...

You started much like I did, maybe soon you will get into building your own lasers! Have fun exploring the magical world of lasers, but remember, safety first! If you plan on continuing with this hobby, it is a VERY GOOD idea to invest in a good pair of safety glasses, such as Eagle Pairs!

Get them here!

Depending on where you live (i live in Southern California), i could measure your laser for you as well!

Cheers!
