I'm sorry but your yellow writing is really annoying.

Also I like to use dark shadows and im sure you are using dark shadows but I'd image it's a pain to read for people who use the regular white...

Yellow writing is my style and I like it, why would others not like it? It is very clear, is it not? Please tell me what you mean in your second paragraph of writing.

Thanks,

Well if you look in the very bottom left of the page you see a drop down where you can select a theme. Dark shadows (which I assume you are using) has dark gray background, but "default style" has a white background. Yellow writing is hard to read on white background, so anybody using the white one will probably just not even read it.

Just thought I would warn you about your yellow writing before you go spreading it through a bunch of other threads.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me and i have been reading around the forums and think I'm going to go with the 445nm. I have been talking to a member called jayrob about his builds for hosts and think that ill get one of his hosts with one of daguin's (David I think is his name) diodes for 44nm. Thanks everyone for voting in the poll and the welcomes!

Thanks,
-S

You come here and on your first Post and Thread you open
a POLL with a question that is really not clear....

The Members here take the time to Vote on your Poll that
as of this morning shows.....

Purple 405nm [4 Votes]
Blue 445nm [2 Votes]

And yet you decide to go with 445nm.....

Explain to me logically why you opened a POLL.... and in
the WRONG section.....

EDIT
Ok, thantks for letting me know. Maybe i will change my style to green or blue?

Thanks,
-S

Yeah, as said above, I reccomend a phr build. (thats 405) Its a good first build first build for a number of reasons:

It is cheap, so if you break it it's no big deal. It doesn't need a high power driver. It doesnt put off much heat at all, so a pen build is fine. It is only a bit over 100mw so it isn't extremely dangerous like a 445nm >1watt build.

You can just do a simple build with a phr, rckstr driver, 2x 10440, and a newwish host. You can get most of that on hightechdealz.com

Ok, thanks benmwv and LaserBee for your info! I will stick to the normal coloured writing then! Also, as for the build I have spoken to jayrob and I have made my mind up and going to go with a 445nm for other reasons like burning and stuff!

Thanks,

Yeah but a lot of members use the "default style" setting
with the White background it's like reading Black on Dark Grey...
or Blue on Dark Gray...

The default Text color shows up legible on all background
styles...

SO I've got the "dark shadows" style too but as I usually sit here with my head propped up on one hand leaning way too close to the monitor (picture my eyeballs just about touching sometimes) I can make out just about anything...but that blue on grey is disturbing !

And I can see the new guys point in that he has made a choice based on conversations that haven't been posted here. He doesn't say that our input wasn't considered or ignored. He just didn't clearly think out his initial posting. Isn't that what every noob does ? Isn't that why they(we) are considered "noob"s ?
Let's wait until the second offense...

hi welcome to the forum!

You can change your poll add 'neither' and maybe 635-660nm, 532,

As said dangerous wavelengths and power call for safety glasses so you will need to figure that in the budget. try building low power 5mw 1st maybe and move to bigger bader ones later.

just my two cents
