Yeah ... Hak PM'd me complaining about you for some reason - not sure what he wanted me to do about it? Think both of you should just ignore each other for a while and cool off. Hak isn't really innocent in the argument either I'd say - can be rather provocative at times, and often comes across as rude, even if it isn't intentional. Best course of action is to move on.

If I'm at fault, I'm at fault, and as hard as it can be at times I will accept it and not cry about it.. but most of the time when I'm not, or at least like in this case, not the only one, it's nice to know that someone actually steered out of the way instead of running me over with the same damn bus as everyone else lol

Yours seems to be lacking...

Edit: Hap, while that was sort of a necropost, does it really count if the post was on a sticky thread...?

Also, original post said:

Nice introduction

For anyone wondering...

Hey diachi,

Well, yeah. I kind of deleted it so people who look at "recent posts" don't waste their time just to see "nice introduction" with nothing of importance added

I can understand that action, but since this subject came up, I don't think a meaningful post would be a necro in a sticky thread, I was negged once for adding to a sticky thread by someone who didn't realise it was in one.

I agree 100% with you Chris, if it's meaningful and adds new information, I believe you should be able to post to a sticky any time.

I also believe (and I'm probably in the minority here) that if you are truly adding 'new and informative' information to any thread, it's not neccessarily necroposting; a lot of times, new info. comes along well after a thread was made.
IMO, add to it, if someone doesn't like it, they can let you know, but they shouldn't ever give a neg rep right off the bat, like they did to Alaskan.

Hey Alex, nothing to be sorry about, that post from Jotts was actually the kind of post that added nothing of value and probably should be deleted. :)

Totally agree ^^^^^

I believe sticky or not, meaningful posts such as (updates, adding information, or reusing a thread) should be regarded as an exception to the necropost rule. Anything else, like the one above is something that should be removed.

Why? That was a meaningless post --added nothing to anything. Common sense. Was good you deleted it.

Exactly

:pop: :thanks:

Glad to see a new member reading this thread!

Most everything is stated in the daguin's OP; a welcome post is appreciated, but not mandatory, and double and triple posting js frowned upon, just use the edit button, and add any additional thoughts to your original post.

BTW - Welcome to LPF! :)

It has been more than a year and a half since anyone has posted to this thread. I like to think that most read it and don't post if they have nothing of importance to add. I am glad that you read it, though.

Every now and then, someone enters the party, pours their drink on the book entitled "Everything You Wanted to Know About This Party". Then proceeds to scream, go up and kick a bouncer in the groin, elbow their way into a group of people looking over something from the "secret" room, snatch it right out of someone's hand and sprint away. :D

Fortunately a vary rare occurrence now days. I think most read this thread. :D
