Hi, I have been reading your forum long time ago. Never registered till yesterday, but I think I owe you thanks for the lot of things I have learned here. For sure I'm a laser enthusiast and I have lots of lasers, my favourites are the ones I do by myself. Have some labbys DIY from 3 years or so (I will post images later if I haven't forgot charging the camera's battery ) As you can see my english sucks, never had time to learn it better. I apologize for this, but I expect to help someone, like you all have helped me just being here. The information, awesome examples, tight responses are a must if we want to run the right way; and I see all this here. I'm a C++ alone liver windows programmer, and sadly have not much time for my hobbys but lasers are first if I can.

My last project is an XY RGV scanner, so this time for sure I will have troubles (like all this last years I'm a laserahoolic) :yabbem: . Once more thanks you all, I don't want make you waste your time reading more than a
few words of thankful thanks.

Update: Some labbys (trying to get some images)

Update (20090814-22:00-GMT+00)

This is my modded sucker stepper motor "scanner"... I hope to make a new better galvo-based in some weeks... (BTW I made my own software to control it, but speed is NOT possible with steppers to make more than a liquid air, you know...)

The hearth of the mod was here a programmable USB stepper control board from www.pc-control.co.uk, thanks again Fiona.

See you later.
Regards.

I wish you luck with your projector. They really are the best thing to do with lasers IMHO. Getting them lined up properly can be a real pain in the ass. Also keep in mind that Violet lasers in an RGV projector don't blend very well. Not as well as blue anyway.

Thanks to everyone. I hope to continue learning from you. Most of my DIY rigs have been made with infos taken from this forums. I first started making/modding LED flashlights some years ago, starting with the first luxeon LEDs, then, some day digging the net I saw the KipKay video and inmediatly modded some flashlight into a laser burner cause I had some dead DVD writers around. From then I almost changed my LED flashlight hobby to Lasers. Sincerely I think lasers are awesome. Some friends also love them and I have made some labbys and flashlight mods to give to them, and other friends are simply scared of them just after seeing it burning things. I love lasers, but treat them with respect cause these are not toys. One more thing, nowadays been able to build a solid state laser of 200mw for just some bucks, is something almost incredible, remembering that the lasing effect is really one of the most advanced things the humans have made, and a real proof of concept of deep quantum physics. You can really say that you own the most advanced technology available to the moment to humans, and just for some bucks!!! AWESOME! Don't forget that without lasers lot of thing wouldn't be possible... but enough for the moment. Thanks everyone for your time.
