I'm newly addicted, so there maybe a few newbie questions to come out of me. For instance "What is a sled?". I'm damn glad to have such knowledgeable people to learn from.

SEARCH and search again-- lots of info is ALREADY there for the looking --also best you become VERY familiar with Sam's F&Q- Dr Sam is the godfather of laser info and a truly nice person but DO NOT email him questions that are already answered- he is a very busy guy. Thanks for the tips. I 'm model rocket pyro, not related to the other guys. I think that it would be cool to light off a rocket with a laserbeam. I guess that will be my first goal.

cool- make sure to do a video- we love to see things go boom(except our lasers) oh yea BTW I was only kidin' about being related. I do know that we have one member who makes fireworks(sorta like model rockets -right?) professionally in his workshop- will send a link when I remember who.
