I live in The Netherlands.
I was always interested in lasers, it started with a little 5mw laser.
It was nice to shine trough a glass of water, or another liquid.
Then i found burning lasers on youtube, from a guy calling himself "kipkay".
I think this guy can be blind sometime because he shows himself lighting a cigarette with a laser.
In the first video i saw he mounted a dvd-burner diode in a so called "Aixiz housing" he putted it directly to 3V.
I saw a comment that the laser would die verry fast if you won't use a "laser driver"
Then i saw a video where he putted a laser in a lighter. He used a driver so it was kinda save for the diode. I bought this parts:
-The mini 8mmx13mm Aixiz laser
-The 1W 405nm/445nm driver
-The momentary switch
-The 4.3Ohm resistor.
-A projected box (i didn't want it to be in a lighter)
So i wired everything up and it worked but: the laser was red, and really weak
After a long research i found that he used an laser diode from a "DLP projector"
Now i'm searching for such an diode like that. I read that a 200mw diode can also burn stuf, but will it work on a 1W driver?
oke , because i really like lasers and i wanna know some more about them ; i joined this forum.
I hope i will learn alot at this forum : about lasers but aswell about english, because it's me worst language.
