Hi everyone i've been lurking and reading for several months while trying to scrape some cash together(im a student) to build a fun burning laser. Done a good bit of research and have bought a 660nm 150mw diode, module, glass lense, and driver from aixiz(chuck lives ten minutes from me  ). So thats what i'm working on. Looking forward to learning all i can about this interesting hobby!

Welcome to the forums! I'm fairly new also. There's so much information on this site and it can be pretty overwhelming at times. Good luck on your first build... enjoy it and remember to be safe!!

Go for the ones that cover 200nm-560nm. That covers 405nm(the purples), 445nm(the blues...do you got 'em?), and the 532nm(green), and anything in between. The only common color it does not protect against is Red( and IR if you are into the invisible killer thing).

Also, WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!! Come on in and make yourself comfortable....

Not THAT comfortable! :p

Isaac

EDIT: I see you got a Red module...so maybe go for the red goggles first....as far as companies to buy from, I would suggest survival lasers, I hear they have a good pair. If you live in the US you might check out Cajunlasers.com as they are based in Louisiana and I think they have some budget-ly priced goggles.
