Glad to be here. I just completed my first build (a PHR BluRay with a home-built driver, operating between 40 and 125mA), and I'm already obsessed with this stuff. There's just something about flipping on the power for the first time, and seeing that supernatural violet glow (especially when you don't expect it to -- you know -- necessarily work)!

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of 2 more AIXIZ housings, as I plan to actually build my next laser into a decent host, rather than strapping its bare PCB to a plastic silverware bin  .

Looking forward to participating in this whole lasering business!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! You seem to be off to a good start with a successful build. As you build or buy powerful lasers, please remember the need for appropriate eye protection and safe laser useage practices. You seem to need a red and a green now ...

Welcome to the forum.
You have a good headstart by building a PHR already. Get a few under your belt and you will be ready to move up to an 8X or 12X 405nm.
Imagine, 5-6X the power of the one you just built?
It will blow your mind!!
:lasergun:
Also kill your bank account, but that's a different story.LOL:whistle:

Welcome to LPF- somebody started an 'ugliest laser' thread so maybe you should take a photo of your first build and post it there...LOL.. My first build took all of 45 min to slip a 100mW ebay red module into a piece of pvc drain pipe and tape it together with 3 'c' cells- & it doubles as a nice club just in case I need to use it for self defense. The up side was that the batts last several months.---enjoy your stay--Hak
