so, checking in from montana. i'm 25, in the army (chinook mechanic, if you were wondering), married, christian. i drive one of two jeeps that take residence in my garage, as well as occasionally riding my 06 hayabusa (she's getting new paint this week ). i have a short fuse when dealing with stupid people, i don't care what color they are. i am NOT politically correct, if i offend you, you're probably a douche :)lasergun:). lets see, um, i like cars, fast cars, and making fast cars faster. i guarantee 90% of you have forgotten more about lasers than i'll be able to learn, but bear with me. if you have any questions about cars (volumetric efficiency, turbo/nitrous/supercharger tuning, low/high compression, whatever) feel free to PM me. um, i just picked up my first higher powered laser, i'm going to try and build a 300mW 808nM setup. my name is matt, but you can call me ogre:D

Hey matt.

Talked to you in IRC already, it's a good place to ask questions, slightly more tolerant there. OR you could just use that nifty search button.

Like I always told my mom, if I gotta be an ass, I may as well be a smart ass instead of a dumb ass.

Ogre, welcome to the forum. I'm into "improving" engines also.
I was building Hemi's when I was 15.
Own a mobile fleet mechanic service now.
It's more about electronics's and control systems now , back then it was Holly carbs., headers, cams, etc.
As you well know, any car newer then '96 (OBDII) HP can be increased by <50 ,just by plugging in a plug and pressing a few buttons.
I miss the old days, I could tell you what was wrong with your engine without opening the hood.:cryyy:
Enjoy you stay and please remember, with 808nm, protective glasses are a "must have"
What you can't see, you can't avoid. Good luck!:D

i don't know about 50 hp in a naturally aspirated motor, but a pulley and a tune for a supercharged motor or even just a tune for a boosted motor does wonders.
