I have been interested in Lasers for a while, and since now i can make enough money to buy DVD drives and diodes to make lasers i have decided to sign up for laserpointerforums :D

i am 16 years old, and i live in maryland, i am very computer savvy and know almost all there is about hardware and software practical to computers, i program and stuff in my spare time.

i have read all the intro and basics stuff, and im pretty good at electronics and physics to be able to do most stuff myself, i will be building my first laser, and will post in the red lasers section if i have any problems or questions.

hopefully i wont destroy the diode :p i managed to take it out of the drive already but i need to build a driver, i have all the parts needed xept for the LM317, the only damn part radioshack was out of.. damn...

lol okay, im a computer and game programmer, as well as a network analyst, i make a most of my money off of building computer part per part for my friends, or building them at low prices and selling them at higher, but still lower than retail :D.

i can program in C,C++, Basic, Visual Basic, and some php, CSS, and html.
I even made my own Graphics Driver extensions, and hashing programs.

I only need one more year of school and i will become a certified IT technician, and 3 more years for programmer.

Never had a problem i couldn't fix myself, and im pretty good at electronics too, i fixed my old mobo that had blown a capacitor and replaced all the capacitors into electrolityc, i made my own xbox hardmod and designed my own PCB for the chip, don't do much console gaming anymore though.

i still gotta learn a lot about electronics though, i need to learn more about Ohms, Amps Watts... stuff like that.
