No prob,

Also I've seen your signature, and I wish to thank you for NOT using the god-awful too-large annoying green laser blasting smiley in it. :)
Hahaha i was never going to think about putting something like that on XD

Happy to be here :yh:

I've worked in Biz Dev, Reverse Engineering, 3D imaging, Rapid Prototyping (3D printing), Consulting, General Engineering, and Medical Device Technology for almost a decade.

Web development and cloud technologies are also a hobby of mine and actually correlate with some of the work I've done in the past. happy to provide insight and knowledge to the forum and members.

i wish i read this post before I chose my name. I think its like you said not much thought goes into choosing it. I am reading the threads everyday and trying to learn from the info that is already provided here. Theres plenty! Thanks for taking the time to write this.

your choice was not so bad-

I laugh at the new guys who choose some awlful usernames-

and ones that start or end in 'laser' are just way too common .

click 'community' near the top and look for your name choice- as it may be taken or too much like another's username.

and obscure odd-ball names are sometimes hard to remember--

It can be changed but that takes time away from mods & admin with other duties more pressing --

BBreaker-- combine those two posts - this forum frowns on most double posts --just use edit if yours is the last post-
exceptions are in sales threads or when important updates happen and you want all interested to know of a new post.. also check dates and dont 'necro-post' w/o good reason.

I saw one where a guy was waiting on a laser in 2009-- and a newcomer posted asking if he was still waiting... lol:na::crackup:

excellent advice !!

TY John- nice to see you again- it HAS been a while.

Most is commmon sense or good manners- and lots of ideas from other members- sometimes the first few weeks/months of a new member end poorly-
& its amazing how just a few misunderstood posts can send some packing or they get sent.-- I get better results with PM before open forum neg. comment (in most cases)

AND by the look at the member list and how many made few or no posts and many have stooopid Usernames and left. -- but many of those 'inactives' were WL fanbois waiting the wait -- on their instant flesh burners.

You are very welcome--

if you place a general location you might hear from members that can help in person- maybe meter a laser for you - its a longstanding tradition here to meter lasers for others without any charge.

also how we reply to questions is often different depending upon where you live so- plz fill that in on your personal profile page - PM if you need help anytime-

Interesting idea, I can work on adding the hex colors. I'll also ask Avery to make this a "sticky" since this is pretty important for a hobby based on different light waves

Make this thread a sticky? It already is?:thinking:
