A hello from New Mexico

Hi everyone. I'm a 22 year old (will be 23 tomorrow

) veterinary assistant from a small city that most people, even in the USA haven't heard of. I've always had a fascination with lasers, and last year I purchased a cheap underrated 1W laser from Ankaka. I had some fun burning things until it was stolen :scowl:. My girlfriend gave me some money for my birthday so I purchased a 1.5w laser from Blord, and Can't wait till I get it. Anyways, enough about that! I'm here because I love contributing to communities and I would also love to learn how to build my own laser, eventually. Thanks for allowing newbies like me to explore this hobby that we all enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. Very nice introduction.
Be safe and use your lasers with protective goggles only, I know it takes half of the fun off by not seeing the beam but your eyes are the only ones you have.

Thanks SBA, I will contribute any way possible. I would elaborate on my town but it's quite small and really has nothing to offer. No sports, no recreational activities, and lots of tourism with mild gang related activity. It's a great place to retire but I would definitely stay away from here otherwise.

Dude! Get thyself some lasers and get thyself to the hills! I'd be outdoors, hiking as much as possible. You'd find yourself very bored, out here, on the prairie.

Wlcome to the forum and be open to share both the good and bad experiences you have with lasers. Some of the vet's on here have had some of both, and as you said about your's getting stolen really stinks. Good thing our lasers are not required to have serial numbers (yet).the person who stole it will probably do something stupid with it and you would get blamed for it. Any-who, enjoy and be safe.

SBA- I can dig the outdoors, it's a beautiful world that I wish I could explore. Just a shame that life is so expensive to even explore. RawPaul- Thank you for the welcome. I agree, even worse I believe it was probably a kid who stole it. Maybe he received a life lesson and went blind with his new laser.

Thanks for the welcome KapHn8d. I've heard some great things about Blord, I can't wait to receive it. Maybe, hopefully later on I can learn how to build my own laser too.
