Hey, I'm Dominic. I'm new here and I would like to let you guys know that so when I post on some threads, you won't be like "Uh, yea who are you?".

My top 3 Goals from now on.
  1. Make a 405nm 1w Laser.
  2. Open a Laser shop.
  3. Make my own Website for buying from me.

*If you guys are wondering, I'm just saying that I'm good with lasers. So It will not be long before I post pictures and other "proof" of me making lasers for my shop.

I'd suggest you don't put that your intent is to have a shop, in your welcome thread. Looks really bad, just enjoy the forum and lasers for now, when you're respected and have sold a few things, then MAYBE go for it. However, for now, just enjoy the ride =]. And welcome, don't forget to read the rules and stickies, and enjoy your stay =]

Yeah, the last new guy who set up a laser shop got temporarily banned and has an incredibly bad reputation because he jumped in too quickly.

Not sure how experienced you are, going on a whim here. Don't turn out like the last one, take it slow like bloom and wolfman said.

I already foresee 1W 405's in our future, shouldn't take too long for single diodes to get that powerful. You can combine the beams using optics, similar to how RG lasers are made except two parts 405nm.

Aside from that, welcome!

I have a 405nm doing just over 700mW with a glass lens. I'm going to add a G1 soon so it will be very close 1W. It can be done. :yh:
