Well I think I should start by saying that I feel eager to be here and absorb as much knowledge as possible from all the experience there is here. Although I am a new memember, somehow I feel part of the community because I have been reading all the stickies/rules of this fourum in the different sections for a while now. Aprox 2 months. Lol Im glad to be a minuscule part in this community and hope to have the best of times here. My laser hobby was always with me, except I haven't taken such a strong interest since recently. About a few months ago I've spent around 60 bucks total buying -excuse my french- crap! And ohhhh boy don't I wish I visited this site before hand !! The money I've could of pocket to buy something really worthwhile here built by REAL PROFFESIONALS. I own 3 laser but I feel doubtful of their true nature. I will put them in my signature the chance I get to access my laptop. They go as follows:

532nm <5mW GREEN
405nm <200mW VIOLET
650nm <5mW RED

I will post pics when I get a chance as well. I know you guys will look down on me because of my ignorance before :/ sorry. But It won't happen again! Thanks to this community !
(Profile pic will have to do for now)

Well that's about it, if you guys want to inquire more info you can ask here or pm, it's however you like. I will edit and add my profile info when I access my laptop too. I apologize for that for the time being.

good health to all!

And Thank you for reading! :thanks:

Welcome, MrHurt. Fret not, as you will find out that many, many of the veterans here even purchased crap lasers at one point. Nobody here is going to look down on you for that. You're already on the right path. Good luck and enjoy your time here.

We have many great members here from Florida. You shouldn't have a hard time finding someone near-ish to you to share your laser enthusiasm with.

HOWDY (also from TEXAS.) not too far from Kap ^^
we well meet soon and swap lies.
You first thread was well done9maybe a tad less- 'brick-like' but an 'A' overall.
Right above when the ads end and the forum begins (bills must be paid ya know)-find 'community' on the menu is 'Socail Groups' in that list are many-including one for Florida members- I have kin there so I joined- i also found there 'group tools' and there I was able to add the group as a subscribed place and when you join I will get an email letting me now that something new has happened. Subbing can be VERY important if a leaser meet pops up on is being planned- no sub--no idea what you missed-- Every year around IIIRC the spring there is a nice one up in Orlando(FLEM)< search that.
- not far from Miami in comparison to how far I travel to attend some LEMs.

But we do have some great members down there- I know a few in miami.
We also have a google members map -you can add yourself and see which members are close. if you want your three lasers metered that can be arranged.(free)

You are moff on a good start- too many join here the day they 'discover' LPF.
I know a few that almost never post but are here a LOT- and some that studyied and read here for YEARS not months before joining--and If you don't know SAM then you dont know jack. for most he is our laser guru.
Sam's Laser FAQ- google that and see how many pages are all links to the Sam Man- A life time of study and gathered data given to us and nothing asked in return.

So if you read the name Sam here... yeah its THAT Sam.

welcome play safe-enjoy and share- it is too late now for you to escape.

To scumbagetheist: Thank you for the word of encouragemt, :) I appreciate it greatly and do plan on one day become a vet. (seems like a huge step and great responsibility!) and yes I'm beggining to see there's many members here In Florida. Hopefully I can make a few enthusiasts myself by talking them into it. Lol

To norbyx: Thank you good sir :)

To KapHn8d: Thanks! Yes safety is BIG and I understand fully the dangers.

To Hakzaw1: thank you very much for the review. I'm sorry I couldn't spice it up more, I'm doing all these replies and post through my phone and the level of discomfort is great :/ but no worries I'll jump in my laptop and do better. I promise boss. Thank you as well for the guide to finding trusted members in my area. I was going to fish around for that and you saved me a search! :) And yes I was noticing THAT Sam. I have read Sam's laser FAQ. Although honestly not thoroughly. I will though. One thing I can guarantee is you won't be seeing posts about questions already amsewerd on the Fourum or that can be answered through simple search engines. Once again thank you Hak. :)

(I decided to reply to all through a single post, therefore preventing many posts, if this is wrong or can be done better, please inform me and I will adjust my style. My work does'nt allow me to reply so I have to reply at the end of the day. I apologize for that :/ )

not at all that is the best way to reply-

I may be wrong but I do not think I would ever be 'at home' using a phone as my PC- I find myself apoligizing for making a long reply-
nad thats not right IMHO. what next? a ring with G4.
A wristwatch??

sent from my cluttered desk with a huge Tower PC and a full size keyboard ha ha
PS
ON a very serious note-- PLEASE guys NEVER feel you need to reply to me while driving. That is insane. when I get or place a call I always ask if they are driving- and if the answer is yes we are done talking till you land back on earth. So forget texting me while your driving that ain't agonnna happen.I NEVER Read 99% of texts I get.

Okay thank you Hak! :)

And yes I know exactly what you mean, but I do want to replay ASAP regardless of the importance of the matter. That being the case, my phone is the quickest/simplest way to do so. :/ I work far from my home and luckily, for now I am NOT driving. I'm carpooling with a fellow coworker. But I agree 110% with the texting/driving issue. I HATE it and detest it. Being an enthusiast driver I love giving the road my best attention. Always after the customers leave, I say "take care, and please refrain from texting and driving!" they tend to look back at me with a "did he just say that??" face. Lol it's hilarious.

But thanks again Hak! :)
Really appreciate it.
