Hello everyone from Pennsylvania

Greeting fellow LPFers! I have owned several class III laser pointers over the past years. Had the standard small red keychain ones and the pen types as well. Aquired a green pen type while on vacation in South Carolina last year. Always wanted to get into the other colors and higher powers. I recently found this website while searching for some information. Come to find out a coworker of mine has been a member for some time. He had recommended the site when we started talking about lasers. I told him I had seen it but didn't look around on it much at that time. I started delving deeper and found tons of great information from all the members. I decided to join as well. After checking the Buy/Sell/Trade section I found a great deal on a 445nm from Blord. After reviewing the "how to avoid getting scammed" posting, I knew I could trust him. I ordered it and I am awaiting it's arrival. I will be ordering safety glasses and batteries from a vendor here in the states.
I appreciate all the info everyone has posted and I hope to be able to contribute some as well as I gain more knowledge on these fascinating devices.

Just remember that if you have a question FIRST type it in the search bar (at the bottom of the page) to see if your question has already been answered, and THEN if you still have not found the answer to the question you can ask it.

Remember whenever using a laser to be aware of your surroundings, where the laser beam is going, where it will terminate, are there people nearby etc.

It's also a good idea to keep track of battery orientation = tailcap + or -
