Hello everyone at LPF!

Hi my name is Jeff, I'm a new member. Fortunately, I became aware of LPF after visiting many laser related sites; particularly one such site where there are 33 reasons not to buy from.
After looking(lurking?) around the LPF for a few weeks, reading the rules and stickies, especially the safety related ones, I've decided to register.
Lasers I own at present are two <5mWred pointers, and one <100mW 532nm no name, given as a gift.
As for safety, my first purchase has been "Eagle Pair" 190-540nm glasses and a small tripod for stability. Thanks to Survivallaser for LPF 10% discount.
I look forward to gaining much valuable information from forum members. Hopefully with a purchase and-or build in the near future. Using the high Quality componants and complete lasers found for sale on the forum.

We have many fine members up your way.. They may have a GLLEM(Great Lakes Laser Enthuasist Meeting) some day and that is a great place to meet and share with likeminded folks. All LEMs big or small are something you wont want to miss.

Some from your area attend the BIGGIE SELEM-- a carpool from there helps keep down the cost- they are held in N.C. in mid Aug. search SELEM to see vids.
