Hello from Denmark!

Hi, I'm new here, however I've been into lasers for quite some time now, always been fascinated by high powered ones! I'm here to learn about building my own laser, what project can you recommend to a new user? I've have a lot of experience soldering, so that won't be a problem. The one laser I'm using now is this one from yourlasers: SD-302 Focusable 100mW 532nm Green Laser Pen Pointer with Battery Set (1*18650) - Free Shipping

It is nowhere near 100mw, as you would expect from a chinese laser...

If your into the really high mW (2Watts) range check out my build thread! it went great for me. I am part danish as well!

Hi and welcome from down under, i wouldn't always say that Chinese lasers are under powered have a look at my signature at the SD range i have all very respectable outputs and 98% of my eBay pens are
Way over spec and are very reliable ..but anyway read learn and stay eye safe

Welcome to the LPF... have a great time and be safe. There is so much to take in here and a lot of folks to share in the journey. Congrats on you new hobby direction (building). There are many craftsmen here than can provide the host kits and pre-pressed diode modules with pre-set drivers that might make your first "assembly" fairly easy as a step toward a ground up build. This is sorta where I'm at currently. I am anxious to try to do it all, but am learning in steps. This is the place to do it... check out the archives. The search tool will provide a ridiculous about of information about learning the ins and outs of everything laser.
