I am a Senior RF Engineer by trade. I have been with the same company for nearly twenty years! I also have my own construction company!
Some of my other hobbies consist of Cave diving, Sky diving and Rc Helicopters to name a few!

I am new to lasers and I have picked up my first laser here on the forum. I am excited to be a part of this community. I have already spent many hours reading and doing basic research. I hope one day to become an asset to this community!

Welcome to the forum travish,
Nice to meet you. Be sure to read the sticky's, and grab a pair of safety goggle's, if you have not, and what laser did you pick up?

Also, on a side note you got your own rig, or how many jumps you got recorded? Skydiving is a big hobby of mine, and if your ever up in the Denver or CO area let me know and I'll be able to get you/us really cheap single's and group rates, or get a bunch of people together to get down on a lil boogie.
Be safe, have fun, and good luck on your future endeavors.
Cheers,

I picked up a 445nm 1.4w used. It was originally made by yobresal but I bought it from edzz. I def have some eye protection! I think too many people overlook this!

No I do not have my own rig. I am more of a tandem jumper so far! I am currently trying to get things in order to do the damn thing myself! lol I am more into cave diving as of now! I really enjoy being 100' deep and 2000' plus penetration into a cave!

I think you only need to do two tandems before you can enter into the accelerated free fall program (though doing four will allow you to skip through some off the AFF program). Where you jump alone, but with guides to help walk you through all the basics, making your way down to some more advanced maneuvering techniques and whatnot, and it only takes like 7-8 jumps total to get certified//initial license(assuming your being safe and not dumb). Costs anywhere from $1,200 to $2,000 to get through the program and certified, but after that its only like $30-40 to go up, depending on if you gotta rent a rig or not.

It's been a while since I got mine though, and for all I know they could have different requirements for other states, but I love going up and IMO it's well beyond worth it.

As far as cave diving though, I've only been a couple times, don't really have very many options out here in CO, and it was fun, but IMO I'd probably rather just dive open waters, I like checking out the reef and swimming with all the brightly colored fishes. Lol- :D
