Hello! I though I would join the fourm as I have been lurking here for about a year now. What a great read this fourm has been, and packed with info. though I am older that most I still love to learn and this fourm is a great place to do that.
All I had before this Fourm was Sam's Laser Bible which can get alittle deep sometimes. I have been fasinated with coherant light since I starting using lasers to aim my telescopes back when a 5mW pointer cost a $100 or more. what amazing changes have happened since then.

Thanks for the welcome inuboi8, sandidgepatrick, and ped.
My wife says I am adolescent adult, but I work hard a keeping a young mind and body. though this is off topic, here is another addcitive hobby sandidgepatrick - yo yos.
I picked up the yo yo again at 50 when I quit smoking cigars. In 2002 they came out with yo yos that have a ball bearing loaded trans axle much like a bikecycle wheel. They spin a really long time. I think the record is 20+ minutes. Warrning - they cost $100+, but once you pick one of these new yo yos up you can't put it down. You sense their mechanical profection, and they find a permanent place in your pocket. they give you some to do with your hands when not smoking, build hand eye coordination, and sharpen the mind trying to figure out the new complicated tricks that can be done with them. They also give you something to do at the mall while your wife goes into a dress shop. Here is a link that will show you what I mean, and help you break back into this lost art. - - SY Blog -
And you can get your yo yos at. - YoYo Nation - Your One-Stop yoyo Store! Shop for Yo-Yos, Yoyo string, yo-yo parts, YOYO EVERYTHING! Join the Nation.
now who's the big kid :na:

Wow! Those look nice, I still have my old Duncan yoyo. I still smoke a good cigar occasionally usually a Partagas, Macanudo or an Arturo Fuente to go with my JW black.

Thanks for the Welcome Lasersbee, and Sai:wave:
00Giorge You have a fine taste in cigars, a real aficionado of tabacco:beer:
There is no comparison between an old Duncan and the new yos. Not knocking you Duncan but man you have got to try one of the hot new ones.
I recommend the MVP for it's incredibly stable spin
