Greetings from Sherman, TX

Hello to all! I'm Chris, I'm 28 and I've been fascinated with lasers since I was a boy.

I've wanted to build at least one laser (preferably many) since high school, and thru a series of unfortunate events I've found myself with the time and space to pursue a new hobby lol.

I've been lurking for about a week now, and have seen that this is the place I need to be. I'm about at green as they come in this field, so I asl patience of you =P

Anyways, thanks for the time and I'm lookkg forward to building some cool pieces!

We will have patients as long as you search first and ask second. members here dont like to "spoon feed" noobs but we are more than happy to help new members who do proper research first.

Welcome to the forum!!!! I assure you there is more than enough information here for you to build your first laser. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. I seriously check this forum about every hour.

Make sure and pick up Safety Glasses for the wavelengths you want. Read the stickies and have fun

Isnt that the truth Isaac! You and me both! i find myself sitting here like i havent checked LPF in a while, look at the clock and realize oh its only been 5 minutes since my last post

Haha I've read about half the stickies and I'm in the middle of your yellow link as we speak! I figure stickies are sticky for a reason, so I'm gonna be lurking for a few more days at least lol.

OMG, you are one of a kind my friend! You will do just fine here! finally someone new who realizes the importance of stickies!

EDIT: BTW if you are looking for quality lasers from within TX, contact hakzaw1. he sells jetlasers that have been tested in the good ole lone star state
