Hey, guys I've been browsing the forums for a while now and just now registered. I'm still a "noob" with lasers and most things about them. I currently own a 100mw green IR filtered laser and some survival laser safety glasses. I'm working on my first build which is probably something you guys have probably seen hundreds of times but hey, you need to start somewhere. It's a 1 watt 445nm laser in a C6 host. I'm following How to make a cheap 1000mW+ Blue Laser Pointer - YouTube to build it. I hope to see you guys around the forums!

Hello Sodderlund, welcome to LPF. Just keep reading everyday and you wont be a noob for long, you will be a laser expert before you know it. That is an excellent YouTube video that anyone building a first laser should see. It shows in complete detail how quick and easy a C6 build can be.

I used that video for my first 445nm 1W build. The guy put's DTR's shop in the description for the 445nm M140 module.

I canceled my orders from DX after I realized how long the host and driver would take to get here and just paid the few extra dollars to order from Moh and survival laser. Hopefully it turns out good.
