hey y'all,

i'm a 57 year old hippy astronomer by hobby, pipe fitter by trade. i've always been a science geek. been stargazing since i could look up. about 2 months ago i bought an amazon 200mw greenie to point out stars. after only seeing little red pointers before i was stunned by that beautiful green beam. i actually got a good laser, prolly ~80mw, and quickly bought another that was noticeably brighter. after discovering lpf i bought a red 200 from rayfoss. love it! today i received my forth laser - a 1.2w 445 from yob. STILL waiting for the bats to charge. i can't wait for "first light" from this baby.

happy to be here and i do hope i can be an asset.

namaste,

cheech

Nice I have a 10in. s.c.t and 5in. Refractor the 5in.has a 2in.eyepiece that gives an apparent field of view of 82 degrees it rocks..no need for a finderscope. My fav. Target is m31. You can just almost see the sprial arms and m32 and m110 are nice and clear too.
